Summary:  This study compared 3 ways of asking patients for reviews: Passive (nothing), Active (direct request, hand out a reminder card) and Automated (email requests).  Duration of Study was over 2 years with the request type changing every 6 months. 

Conclusion:

  1. Automated reviews are most effective, with a response rate of over 10%
  2. Automated requests were 8x more effective than active requests
  3. Doctors can increase reviews with zero time requirement
